Moving out of state? Driving the load there yourself? Let us professionally pack your rental truck to be certain that your possessions arrive in good condition! We regularly load Penske, Budget, U-Haul, and ABF trailers for customers. We also load storage/shipping containers. To ensure the best possible load, we recommend customers do the following:
- Get plenty of moving pads/blankets! It is not uncommon to go through 3 dozen or more blankets on a 24' rental truck. Don't skimp; this is how your furniture is protected from scratches and dings.
- Get rope/straps/bungees to secure the load. We recommend ratchet straps for heavy or large items like pianos, big screens, etc.
- We can bring plastic stretch wrap if requested.
- Make sure your truck has a ramp. Let us know if we need to bring ours.
- If you are using an ABF trailer/shipping container, have the driver spot the trailer as close to your front door as possible. NEVER let them park the trailer so the doors open on the downhill side. (It makes packing it difficult if not impossible to stack high/tight.)
- Be prepared. We will give you an arrival time; try to have everything ready for us. Make sure furniture is cleared off and boxes are taped up. If possible, disassemble any furniture that requires it (beds, multiple piece put-together desks, etc). Remember, the more prepared you are the more money you save!
